Pigmentation / Tattoo Pico laser Picosure Pro treatment 二代蜂巢皮秒
Pico laser is unique in that the laser energy is delivered in very short pulses, picoseconds to be exact. Picolasers therefore fall under a category of lasers, called Q-switched lasers. Q-switched, stands for quality switching, which describes the phenomenon when laser energy is delivered at duration of nanoseconds, the heat energy that is transferred is limited and the character of energy emitted is largely mechanical. This particular character allows for Q-switched lasers, including pico lasers, to treat patients with darker skin tones, or skin problems that require laser resurfacing but are not amenable to heat damage, such as melasma and tattoo removal.
Picosure is a platform provided by one of the best laser companies, Cutera. It is one of the longest standing platforms of pico lasers, and it is the only platform that provides the Alexandrite 755 nM wavelength as the main light source. This unique wavelength combined with the pico technology enables Picosure to be one of the most effective lasers at treating pigmented lesions including that of tattoos. Picosure Pro is the second generation of the original picosure, which improved the pico technology to provide stronger and more precise treatment ability while maintaining the 755nM Alexandrite laser source.
Lasers emit a specialized, pulsed light, which is absorbed by the pigment in your hair and then transmitted down the hair shaft to the root. The hair follicle is damaged by the heat of the laser, which prohibits future growth.
Before your procedure, we will evaluate your skin and hair type in order for us to select the best laser to suit your needs. We will also thoroughly discuss the possible risks, your expectations, and the best ways to prepare for treatment.
The duration of each session varies depending on what area of the body you are having treatment. A small area such as the upper lip may take only five minutes, while a larger area like the back or legs may take up to one hour. The area should be shaved or cut short prior to treatment. For best results, we recommend that you do not wax or pluck hairs for three weeks prior to treatment.
Laser hair removal is safe and effective when performed by a physician or other licensed professional specializing in laser technology. At our practice, you can expect the highest level of treatment from our qualified professionals.
